RE: MINISTRY OF HEALTH – UPDATE REGARDING VISITORS IN LONG-TERM CARE AND SENIORS’ AL
Starting October 3, 2023, healthcare workers, volunteers, visitors and contractors are required to wear a mask inside the building.

What does this mean for visitors to Normanna.

• Visitors will no longer be required to provide their vaccination status, and those who are
unvaccinated for COVID-19 will be able to visit freely at Normanna.

• Visitors will no longer be required to undergo a rapid antigen test or confirm a recent negative
rapid antigen test prior to visiting.

• There will be no restrictions on gatherings, events or activities including visitors, indoors or
outdoors, regardless of visitor vaccination status. However, to maintain the health and safety of our residents, staff & volunteers. Residents may receive no more than four adults and one child under 18 at one time.

• There is no requirement to book ahead of time prior to visiting your love one.
The visitation hours at Normanna remain unchanged and is between 9am-5pm. Exceptions can be made on a case to case basis depending on the situation and remains solely at the discretion of management.

Memo to all visitors

Many visitor responsibilities remain in place, such as:

• Rigorous hand washing is still expected, and we will continue to have alcohol-based hand rub available at entrances for people to use.

• People who are ill or experiencing symptoms of illness should not be visiting our home. This includes those who’ve tested positive for COVID-19.

• The requirement for visitors to sign in/out continues.
Thank you for your support and cooperation over the past many, many months.
