Wendy Serne, President
Wendy is an analytical, energetic, and diligent lawyer with extensive experience in estate matters, as well as complex insurance and personal injury litigation. She earned her LLB from Dalhousie University in 1996 and holds an Honours B.A. from Harvard University (1993). She has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario since 1998 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia the same year.
Currently an Associate Lawyer at Lindsay LLP in Vancouver since 2016, she represents insurance companies and individuals in complex litigation involving insurance and personal injury, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, attending mediations, and arguing applications and trials. Prior to this, she worked at Somers, Poulin, Hall (2016–2018), where she also advised clients on estate matters, including wills and powers of attorney, alongside personal injury litigation. From 2003 to 2018, she was an Associate Lawyer at Lindsay Kenney LLP, where she handled insurance litigation and appeared before both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal. Her key skills include legal analysis, writing, communication, and organization. Outside of law, she enjoys gardening, elder care, soccer, volunteering, and reading.
