How Your Donation Helps

Normanna is a non-profit organization that receives funding through Fraser Health Authority for residents direct care, but we do not receive any funding for our specialized medical equipment, capital upgrades and program enhancements.

We depend on individuals and organizations like you that generously support Normanna Home with much needed donations to purchase new equipment such as wheelchairs and floor lifts, fund our expanded activities programs and continue to improve the quality of life of our residents, reduce social isolation and provide a caring and enriching environment for residents and their families.

Finding Nemo

To expand our successful pet therapy programs, Normanna wishes to install an aquarium in Nordheim for the benefit of residents, family and visitors alike. Normanna embraces the Eden Philosophy, which views aging as a continued period of development and growth rather than decline, alleviating loneliness and boredom through the introduction of animals, plants and children into our home. Pet therapy programming assists residents with behavioural challenges, assisting to change their mood through interactions with the pets.

Installation of one salt water aquarium is $10,000.  The target is to have one aquarium in each unit with a total cost of $50,000.00

Normanna Fundraising - Give Us a Lift

Give Us A Lift?

The purpose of this campaign is to purchase ceiling lifts for each room at Normanna.  To date we have installed only 37 ceiling lifts.  An additional 63 ceiling lifts are needed to provide residents with a safe and easy transfer throughout their room, while easing a heavy physical strain on our staff.

Help us maintain a safe environment for staff and residents, and continue to make Normanna a “Home away from Home”

Installation of each ceiling lift including the tracking is $8,400.00.  The total cost required is $529,200 for 63 additional lifts.

Circle of Life

The purpose of this campaign is to return the sense of peace and serenity that nature creates by replacing trees, shrubs, and plants damaged by time and weather (Restore); to reassess and reconsider all aspects of the gardens by providing constant and professional care throughout the seasons (Renovate); and to provide the sense of balance, peace and serenity which is our gift from nature and which restores our spirits (Revitalize).

To Restore, Renovate and Revitalize our Therapeutic Garden, the total cost required is $30,000
